Montreal, February 3, 2026 – Today we’re excited to share that Velix has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding, led by Luge Capital, with participation from Stand Up Ventures and Accelia Capital. We’re also welcoming Nicholas Richards (Co-founder of ShipHero) as an advisor. This funding will help us grow our team and further enhance our financial platform for logistics finance and operations teams, helping them save time, money, and work better together.
In Canada, logistics networks are expanding quickly. Forecasts estimate the market will reach $654B by 2030, and the federal government has committed $4.1B to strengthen trade corridors and improve supply-chain resilience. This growth mirrors a structural shift in global trade with supply chains moving closer to home, cost structures under tighter scrutiny, and logistics providers being asked to do more with less. As physical networks scale across Canada, the expansion means more handoffs across carriers, warehouses, and border touchpoints, while the underlying systems still don’t speak the same language across ops and finance.
For third-party logistics (3PL) providers, this shift has expanded their role beyond operations. They act as financial intermediaries between carriers, brands, and end customers, responsible for accurately attributing dollars to every parcel and service. Most still rely on manual reconciliation processes across paper, email, flat files, and siloed legacy platforms that break down with level of complexity. As a result, financial workflows are slow, error-prone, and difficult to scale – leading to margin leakage and slow cash collections.
That’s why we built Velix, a financial operations platform to help logistic teams automate freight and parcel reconciliation, customer billing, and resolve disputes quickly – all in one place.
“Logistics has invested heavily in moving goods more efficiently, but little innovation has occurred on the financial layer, resulting in massive inefficiencies as volume increased. We’re excited to partner with Velix to launch a modern financial platform to automate billing and reconciliations for logistics operators.”
– David Nault, Partner, Luge Capital
“The majority of 3PL operators I’ve worked with of all sizes share one thing in common, clunky and time consuming billing processes that create the cashflow drag. What Maeghan and the Velix team are building is game changing, helping operators structure and automate a critical, massively underserved part of the logistics stack.”
– Nicholas Richards, Co-Founder ShipHero
Moving forward, we’re expanding our product and go-to-market efforts across new segments and geographies. This also supports our path toward general availability, so any logistics operator can benefit from more accurate and automated financial operations.
